the mr. and mrs.

Welcome! I'm so glad you've stumbled upon this page and decided to join me for a little journey. My name is Angie. I'm a middle school English teacher by day and volunteer worship leader by night (and weekend). I love all things Target, music, and cooking related. I grew up in the lovely Woodbury, Minnesota and have been teaching for the past 5 years. I'm a dog person who loves people and am a proud ENFP (more on Myers-Briggs later). I met my husband, Chad, at our church in January of 2011. We had a sarcastic conversation at our first meeting which spurred a series of Facebook messages back and forth for a couple of weeks. We began dating shortly thereafter and got married on August 3, 2012. Chad is a youth pastor whose passions include sports (football namely), and anything Green Bay Packers. He is a just-as-proud ESFJ (again, that Myers-Briggs jargon) who hails from a suburb of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and is well-versed in various kinds of cheese. We are very blessed to be a part of an absolutely incredible church community in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

I chose to begin this blog as a way to organize all the incredible advice we've gotten and lessons we've learned while living this life of marriage in ministry. I just want to share our nuggets of gold that we've gotten from so many influential people in our lives. Our relationship and way of doing life with each other has been revolutionized by so many of these little tips and tricks that people have shared with us. Our dynamic and situation is a little different than most. While Chad is on staff at the church, I am not. His ministry is youth and mine is worship. Being a pastor's wife has brought me some new and exciting experiences and growth. God has been doing some amazing things with this call that He's placed on our lives as a couple and we've learned so much and grown so much already. I don't claim to have all the answers (we've been married less than a year...). But, I do promise that I'll be vulnerable, real, and will share things that have worked for us. And I'll probably end up sharing a lot of fun stories and delicious recipes, too.

So, grab a cup of coffee (or tea... Downton Abbey style) and dig in!
-Angie
